Stitch Fix Review February 2018

My February Stitch Fix is here! After seeing some gorgeous Valentine’s Day looks from Stitch Fix I asked my stylist to send me both casual and date night looks for the upcoming holiday. You can sign up for a romantic Fix for yourself by clicking any of the affiliate links (links that give me a small commission) in this post.

I updated my Style Profile (the questionnaire you fill out when you create your profile) to include black, red, pink, purple, white, and navy apparel items. I love changing up my profile for every Fix to give my stylist a more focused idea of what I want to get in my box. I also upped my price points a little (also in my Style Profile) because Stitch Fix now offers luxe brands like Kate Spade, Rebecca Minkoff, Equipment, Theory, Michael Starrs, Free People, Paige and many more premium brands. I figured since I am not worried about losing my styling fee thanks to the $49 flat fee I paid for my “Style Pass” I could try out some higher priced items.

With these changes to my Style Profile in place I was excited to see what Jason, my long time stylist, would send. Let me tell you, he did not disappoint.  IMG_4432

1. Calvin Klein Suzetta Dress-Size 12, $88

I love to wear leopard print so when I saw this swing dress in my Fix I was pretty excited. Since I carry my weight in my midsection swing style dresses like this one look best on me with a cardigan or vest to help cinch my waist in. I definitely prefer this dress with the black ponte jacket like my stylist suggested. This leopard print is a little bit lighter in color than I usually wear and my winter complexion was blending in to the print a little more than I would like. My husband lovingly called this my “cave girl look.” I think I would have liked this dress a little better if the neckline was a bit lower and the color was a bit darker. This one will be going back to Stitch Fix.

2. Generation Love Hugo Linen Lace-Up Detail Tee-Size Large, $110

Remember how I said I upped my price points? Well my stylist obviously took notice of that when he sent this shirt. True red is one of my favorite colors to wear because it looks good with my very pale skin. As soon as I saw this shirt I was obsessed with the details on the sleeves. The shirt is made of 100% linen and is dry-clean only. It is very lightweight and sheer, which would be perfect for the summer. The lace up in the front is a little too low cut for my taste. My husband liked this one, but when he found out the price the look on his face was priceless. This too will be headed back.

3. Andrew Marc Performance Ellery Track Pant-Size Large, $50

When I pulled these out of the box I was not so sure that I was going to like them. The wide white waistband really threw me off. When I put them on it was immediately clear that my decision would not be that easy. They are so soft and the material is not too thin. I love the hem at the ankle and the wide waist band really helps them feel like they will stay up. I decided to style them with a dressy edge by adding a blazer over a fuchsia t-shirt and throwing on my black heels. Don’t worry, I also styled them in a more traditionally casual, way which you can scroll down to see. I am undecided on these pants. Should I keep them?

4. Karl Lagerfeld Paris Maredo Paris Graphic Knit Tee-Size Large, $38

This Eiffel Tower Tee is super cute and extremely comfy. I love that the fabric has stretch, but is not too clingy. I decided to dress the t-shirt up a bit and ended up with my favorite look of the day. If you do not have a denim vest I suggest you get one ASAP. I got this one for Christmas and I have worn it every week since. While I really loved this shirt I just do not need it to fill a hole in my wardrobe right now.

5. Lemon Tart Damion Ribbed Duster Cardigan-Size Large, $64

I have been wanting a grey or black duster cardigan for awhile. I have forest green and burgundy dusters in my closet already and I have found myself curling up in them all winter long. I really need a more neutral color duster to carry me into spring so when I saw this one I was very happy. This duster is soft and stretchy. It has a cute side slit at the bottom that was fun with stripe on the side of the track pants from this Fix. Because this cardigan is meant to be stretchy it was a little tight around my hips. If I were to keep this I would definitely size up so that it was not as form fitting. I’m just not sure if this is the duster for me so it will be going back.

What do you think of the pieces I got in my Valentine’s Day fix? Should I keep anything? Let me know in the comments. If you are still looking for a gift for Galentine’s or Valentine’s Day it is never too late for a Stitch Fix Gift Card.

With their luxe, plus-size, petites, and men’s styling, Stitch Fix has something for everyone. Plus you can have the gift card emailed straight to your loved one. Don’t forget to remind them to sign up for their first Fix using my affiliate links to help support this blog.

Until next time,

I love you more than jean vests and a leopard dress,
